What is YET?
YET should not be confused with the 8 foot snowman that lives in the Tibetian mountain ranges. YET is much bigger but less scary!
Year-End Transition (YET) is an Enterprise level process that is run after the end of the current school year on all active schools in BCeSIS. During YET, all current year information, e.g. courses, marks, teachers, homerooms, etc., is archived, and students are moved to the next grade. Where applicable and possible, students will also move from one school to the next, as with elementary/middle school students moving to high schools.
The YET process culminates in setting the next school year to the current year for schools and students. This year, YET is scheduled to begin on Friday July 30th . BCeSIS will not be available until the process is complete, which usually takes about one week.
How will YET affect my school?
If your school is in PRODUCTION you will have to complete the YET Pre-transition checklist. This must be completed before July 31st 2008 at 5:00pm. If your school doesn't complete the YET process all the students may be removed from your school.

Questions and Answers
Question: Can I run Pre-Transition before all the other steps of the YET checklist? I'm recieving phones calls about pre-transition what do I do?
Answer: Yes you can do Pre-transition before all the other steps, except one most first do the copy Grades and Catchments step (step #2). If you are receiving calls about Pre-Transition then follow the Pre-Transition QRG
Question: How can I get the enrollment information for next year.
